Why is ibrox a 5 star stadium

Thread starter George Goudie Start date Mar 7, A requirement for Five Star Status as it used to be called! Think I'll keep bumping it to keep it on the front page so the Timposters will be reminded every time they log on that their meccano shit hole doesn't even have a status. Any standing section would have replacable seats for european games as they do in Germany.

Therefor we would probably have the same amount of seats. Click to expand Clubdeck Well-Known Member. I think the criteria has moved on, do you not need to accommodate buses away from a public place Now? I don't think we need to remind anyone of who has the superior stadium, it is clear as day. I think we can do that, if necessary. I am sure that that was one of the reasons for replacing the old red ash track, although ironically we did have a sort of roadway beneath the Main Stand until relatively recently.

I remember watching the team warm up in the area under the stand. You could also see the team passing through before kick off.

That was in the 60's and 70's. Ibroxkev Well-Known Member. We had a five a side game down there before getting a tour of the trophy room. Can't remember why it when. Think I was about 7 or 8. If Rangers FC do not alter their thinking towards our disabled support we will not get a licence to play football so uefa and their poxy elite crap will not be a concern for Ibrox.

Continually ignoring the laws and treating our disabled supporters like pondlife should no longer be acceptable to our club hierarchy. Sadly it appears it is. Having a few spaces in the away corner and 4 in the broomloan to stave of east end legal action should not be the sum total of pitiful actions by Rangers FC in this regard. Why our disabled support cannot get the same views of the game as everyone else is disgraceful. Why they have to look at the big screens to see the ball when it is is played down the Govan touchline is disgraceful.

Why they have to sit out in the elements and get soaked and frozen is disgraceful. The fact that our disabled support have been fobbed off and treated like shit for years is disgraceful. The uefa initial fanfare endorsed Centre for Access to Football in Europe CAFE states quite clearly what is required at football stadiums and things are supposed to have moved on.

But Rangers FC have long since treated people like 3rd class citizens and, even in the 8 or 10 years since CAFE was introduced, have simply wheeled out excuse after pathetic excuse and stuck 2 fingers up. But then again so have uefa after their paltry, probably forced to save face, efforts.

Turning a blind eye by all involved is the norm now. But the laws and the rights of football supporters is not going away. If money is thrown at safe standing and not at prioritising our disabled supporters requirements and basic rights, we should all hang our head in shame. Our stadium is not elite, it is an embarrassment in some respects. Safe standing should not be a concern for now and can come next. Review Highlights. Reviewed 1 week ago. Reviewed 2 weeks ago.
