Yes, I've read the posts that the driver side supposedly sags due to driver, gas tank, etc. That said, I'm pretty sure that isn't the case on mine since mine isn't like ANY body elses.
From the front it looks level. From the driver side or rear it looks like it leans. I didn't see any broken leafs or broken shackle. The OEM lift blocks and U-bolts appear to be intact. Twisted frame? Could be. The truck has been banged up a number of times. The last time I got rear ended and that bent the bumper down. The replacement bumper looks fine. Could it be a weak leaf spring?
If I were to replace the leaf springs what do you recommend? I'm not interested in lifting it at this time my teenager is the dailer driver but I sure would like to soften the ride a bit. Solid Axle Swap. People pay big money to get there truck to sit like you describe On a serious note, you could add a pair of Beltech Chevy drop shackles, it will lift the rear 1.

FAQ's I installed a rear kit on my pickup truck and its almost touching the axle.
The installation instructions indicate that I need a 1" gap. What should I do? I installed a rear kit on my pickup truck and there is more than 3 inches of gap between the rubber spring and the axle. Is this ok? The capacity rating of the Timbren SES kit seems awfully high. I am sure that I do not need that much capacity for my application. What do you recommend? I'm experiencing a rough ride when my vehicle is unloaded. Can this be fixed? The rubber spring is touching the axle all the time.
Will that hurt the axle? I have a motorhome with a badly sagging rear suspension. Will Timbren's SES suspension enhancement system help? How does Timbren's product compare to an air system?
